Hachiko is a dog hero who inspired Japan in thinking that friendship can last forever. Hachi was adopted by a college professor who later died while far from Hachiko. Hachiko waited 10 years for his master to come back after which he died.
Hachiko is featured in “Hachiko, a Dog’s Story” a 2009 movie starring Richard Gere among the others. In Europe the “Hachiko, a Dog’s Story” movie should be in the cinemas for Christmas.
Hachiko is an Akita Inu dog (not to be confused with Shiba Inu dogs), those dogs are known for their loyalty.
You can see the trailer of the movie “Hachiko, a Dog’s Story”, Hachi will probably make you cry if you love dogs, especially akita inu dogs.

That’s awful. How da hell can they put a shiba as a an akita puppy??? Why not tha shiba from the beginning till the end??? As a shiba breeder, I got very disappointed with such a nonsense.

I really love true stories because true stories really touches every heart of the people who read it or watch it. And all of the true stories are really make us cry and think of it in a long time. This movie (Hachiko) is a touching and inspiring story about dogs. It inspires me to do good to other animals because animals, especially dogs, also have the word love. I really love this movie it inspires me deeply to my heart. In real life, I really like Japanese.

I agree with you, Renata Appel, Feb. 2010, It seems wrong to use an young Shiba as an Akita Inu pup, as they indeed are not the same, BUT, an Akita PUP is not as trainable as a young Shiba, dear. by the way, our Akita only died resently at nearly 12 years old, after an Labrador 12 years and a German Shep, 11.5 I find the Akita Inu most loyal and protective, yes the movie hit the spot.

I happened across Hachiko because I was looking up Shiba Inus which lead me to Akita Inus which lead me to Hachiko. I mostly read everything online that I could about this little guy and was already moved to tears about his story. I kept reminding myself that he and his master are together now but what broke my heart was that Hachiko had to endure 10 years of loneliness to wait to see his beloved master again. I watched the 1987 version last night and even though I don’t own a dog it sure made me appreciate my cat a lot more.

Zavier Junior, 3months old pup was put to death by a crime committing syndicate known for their malice. It has been the 6th time they have allegedly poisoned my dogs in a row.
Police arrived to the crime site taking preparation for an on-line GD that we composed (GD Num:1019. dtd:22/5/2010.) Commencing for an autopsy in the Animal Hospital transferring to ICDDR,B (police’s own words). Within 4 days report would be affirmed….
It was aired on T.V (Channel i) at 10:30pm.- A family of 3, making several GDs to the P.S was utterly useless for the Matabars in these hi-tech days has kept them in isolation from the society as an outcast trying to banish them from their own home ever since its contained by the clench of land grabbers, has done it again, besides poisoning their puppy.
I am desperately awaiting for the doctors certificate but who am I to believe, whereas the viscera was never sent to ICDDR,B for analysis and the report was found to be distorted.
Red Alert: This syndicate is insulated by Lt. Col. Rashidul Alom posted to RAB1 Uttara as Dir. Resolving all their crimes.
I on behalf of Muttly, Amigo senior, Zavier Senior, and Zavier Junior, Sue he, and Amigo Junior(canines) with Tiny, Bravery and Georgie (felines)-all killed leaving me all alone and feeling barren. One that has a pure heart can seize the moment known as man’s best friend beseech your organizations assistance to come forward and prove there is animal rights prevailing in such a territory were human rights are violated that truth and justice are just not to be dreamed of.
Their death has shaken me uncontrollably to an irrecoverable loss.

PS: Georgie died today at 7:00pm having sustained boiling hot marr (rice water) followed apparently by rat- poisoning. in this state of mind of am incapable of writing any further but I hope you have the heart to share my pain of in-defensibility.
Muttly, our family pet dog-more a brother to me, since his puppy-hood, 5long years had been with us through the wretched days fending till his painful cause of death. As the unsettled nights darkened he guarded the home he knew he belonged, protected the folks he knew as his family.
The voracious snare that has and is retaining us for an attenuated duration of desolation produced by the local self-proclaimed Matabars with their mates maneuvered brusquely a machination for our relations and friends whom we had known to have turned their backs on us except for only one who was there for the tormented term giving an undivided love with an unselfish intent-who else, Muttly. A tender togetherness was fondly felt with his radiated presence is no more….
I still remember a chilly wintry December 5, Sunday 2004 as if it were only yesterday. 7:15am A not so early morning in favor of a momentous occasion to begin with as the sun promised a warm day ahead. Automatically I had awoken rubbing my eyes in search for my father in whatever place could he supposedly be? Sure thing “out” if not in. Bestirring to our gate on the porch stairs sniffing sporadically with a wet nose, standing upon four sturdy legs drawing near gaping up at me with sapphire chestnut colored innocent eyes sparkling comparable to the golden sun turning his fuzzy flaxen coat crimson. Overjoyed I outpoured “puppy.” Making him wag his frolic tail nonstop. Self-moving I picked the stoutly formed lovesome pooch whom was going to be known as Muttly Sikder.
Sunrises and sunsets, rains and shines but our Muttly’s ears are open towering for any alarming noises speeding to the site to detect any misdeeds barking, blaring, continually until we come out to inspect. Muttly got to the bottom of the turmoil we were coerced to endure, since imposed informers encircled our home with us, carrying illegal activities.
Muttly had rescued us several instances
Revolver men running into our alley, there it was danger advancing to people he loved, opening our gate he bolted heroically at them barking rampageous, they ran jumping in the air effecting to retreat in the dark.
Mouina, abusing with his junkies immerged in front of us to maltreat, memorably Muttly the brave, stepped in front ahead, all ran for their lives leaving Mouina behind who stood ramrod not moving a muscle, in all likelihood not breathing either. As Muttly paced on he took a slow step back till he evacuated relinquished etc.
Therefore Muttly had enlarged enemies that wanted him dead. Whilst the “WITCH HOUR” Muttly’s howling could be heard rampantly, customarily targeted to 211/E (Momean (youngest) Matabar) reprobated tenant watchers sits down near our wall and smokes cannabis filling smoke inside our rooms that smells awful and injurious to ones health.
Muttly was a roadblock seemingly in their way to proceed with their infractions uninterrupted was to get rid of him once and for all. The savages-self-proclaimed Matabars (Sheeru, Shaulluddin, momean) sons (Romal, Jewel, Russell, Faisal, Kawsar, Riffat….) made thin pointed iron, very sharp and deadly type harpoon.
Bloody brutality befell on Muttly he began to get injured. Deep lacerations were in his body even his eyes were bleeding profusely, legs maimed throwing up bubbly bleached fluid.
24/7/2009. Muttly lost his appetite, lying down mostly not having the urge to arise. 26/8/09. He was inside the dining hall wanted to be near us. 9:00pm. Didn’t have the energy to jump up the sun-shade while it was raining cats and dogs, but with our vast boosting “Come on Muttly, come on boy you can do it.” He made it. I offered him a sweet which he accepted, unfortunately it dropped down. Hastening outside with a candle and umbrella in hand I searched the white sweet meat handing over to Muttly who devoured gratefully making me remember the day Muttly came onto the doorstep, a while later I brought for him a saucer of milked that he merrily lapped contentedly. For lunch Fish mashed with Rice he gulped unhesitatingly a fast growing pup no doubt. He had taken up the charge of the household responsibility within 15days. 10:15pm Rainfall in torrents. 3:00am. Awoke to find dreadfully dark appallingly realizing no electricity! Still heavy downpour. I jumped from bed to the windowsill. No Muttly! Water flooded the terrace rising up I couldn’t give credence to my eyes it betided like a bad dream surfacing higher to be true, drawing room couches soaked in water overflowing rest of the rooms. Called out “Muttly, Muttly.”-No response. Papa grieved he might be dead. My heart leaped to hear water splashes, frantically I opened the gate to see poor Muttly neck deep in water. It was his foremost experience and last. Moving in the dining room he snuggled in a corner of driest accommodation available (water arriving inside our homestead the Matabars & Mouina are absolutely held chargeable, for the lakes they have filled clogging rainwater, purposefully with a malodorous motive constructing a drainage system into a ditch attached to our plot mandating their tenants to cram in trash. Mouina spills water in the ditch 24hrs. and underneath our abode moreover his sewerage in the hopes of inundation. We have been living for 30years in this contingency it never happened!) during the afternoon he became restless, scarcely able to sustain himself as his hipbone was abnormally bent more likely broken, panting with his tongue out in pain, eyes bloodshot. Bought him Olympic G biscuit which he swallowed broken bits refusing to have his usual meals. Nightfall the same orange biscuit with condensed milk layered he ate from my fingers licking lovably. 27/8/09. Muttly groaned in excruciating pain not being to resist went out in the yard dropping down on the soft earth. Suddenly twitching up he yelped for the last time “WHOOoooo.” Like old times to inform some intruder is at the gate. So it was DCC delivery man with a bill without stamped! I cooked his favorite dish “Beef” he took one piece in his mouth and dropped, despairingly. In the break of day he consumed his biscuits and meat. Alarmingly Muttly was chewing his sack and the dining room table, roaming hither and thither shockingly going outside in the pool of water as we opened the door for him. 4:15am the state Muttly was in I will never forget. “hope against hope.” He stood unsteadily pale, resembling a phantom, gruesomely swollen was his mouth, teeth exhibiting. Coming in as always for these past days he excreted bloody black glutinous liquid airing a deathly rotten smell. In the morning I was terrified to behold Muttly gnawing his gums and tongue blood trickling down on the floor. I cried out “oh stop it.” As tears teemed down my cheek on the floor. His condition further deteriorated considering tumbling down frequently flat on his face dragging along. A visitor approached the gate he went toward and “Thud” his jaw slammed the cold hard concrete. For a period he rolled in the grass and mud to no relief couldn’t swallow milk neither fish as he made an effort by spilling the saucer of milk and taking tidbits of fish into his swelled mouth to throw sorely. He lay down for a prolonged time unable to upspring until the sky cast a grievous gloominess, thundering threateningly. I didn’t want to know it would be the last time I dolefully invigorated Muttly resounding “to get up bro, you can do it.” Deep down he must he must have recognized my voice through the pain that had lost his sense. Stupendously he lifted feebly his head looking up wriggling his back which kept toppling he dragged himself tottering up to the front stairs he once had been unable to climb, staring in my eyes to say “I made it sis.” Collapsing to hit his head on the front steps where his body got soaked in a puddle. The spirit of Muttly wasn’t gone so easily with turbulent determination he loyally uplifted remarkably raced inside. Then the sky cried hoarsely unable to resist any longer. As hours past Muttly got weak and weaker till he no longer got up. Knelling beside I sobbed for him to forgive me, not to leave me, in such a cruel world by myself, I need you to be with us in vanquishing the people if you called them that did this to you, ‘don’t let them win.’ His body was motionless eyes, yet open full of tears. Sorry sis I couldn’t make it. 4:00am Muttly screamed wildly to the world to know of his departure where no pain can be felt, no greed given, no jealousy developing hate. Papa presumed him dead touching his back to detect the hip bone broken, visible on the outer surface a monstrous lump swollen stiffly above the kidney. A feather flick touch effected in an ear shattering scream. Breathing shallow, eyelids half-closed. “Is this our Muttly?” seeing him in this state my head was spinning knowing “he is dying.”
31/8/2009. stricken by a disheartened daylight in the morning I was afraid to run near the staircase. Instead I called papa “where is Muttly?” he didn’t speak avoiding the answer. Again I asked “How is Muttly?” “He is fine, and in a place that nobody can ever hurt him, where jealousy, greed wont injure him and now he can rest in peace…Will he?
GRASPABLE GROUP KILLING
Muttly listened to an agitated sound in the matabars ghettos, hair protruded perpendicularly he dashed down from the sunshade barking, awaiting for us to come out in order to see the commotion. Not awaiting he dispatched jumping over the boundary wall to the cataclysm. In the dark he could sense adversity in the vicinity headed for him, averting homeward to safety in mind he retreated. Inescapably from all sides danger lay expectedly, outnumbering sanguinary connived group appeared who were responsible for generating that reverberation.
Muttly looking back relying to his family to rescue him found none but asleep carefree inside tucked warm in bed as he all alone in the cold awake to feel his bone crack with crush clubbing his kidney….
Was it a message they wanted to send over to realize our lives lie in the identical route? Who could have slay an innocent unarmed dog? The only true friend the only true companion, and the only true family has been permanently taken clutched away never to come back if only he did die a natural death I could let go blissfully for he did have an extraordinary magnificent life our dear discerning adored, precious sweet beloved Muttly that words couldn’t symbolize, but knowing his death was supernatural his soul still haunts us restlessly craving for justice to uncover capturing the people behind his assassination.

Hachiko is a wonderful movie that touches the heart of every human heart and spirit. The performance of the leading characters is spectacular ! especially actor Richard Gere who’s character is very kind and loving person. How I wish that all the people in the world will watch the movie. This movie reminds us the true value of humanity and how much value we put to the most important thing that matter to us. If a dog can show loyalty and love, I think we should ask ourselves “how much we can do to prove our love & loyalty?” this question comes in my mind when I finish watching the movie. The movie is giving us so much of realizations about life , that after all our relationship to others is the most important of all. Amazing movie !
God bless !

it is very inspiring, i always cried everytime i am waching the movie. I love dogs.. infact i cared a dog who dont have family, he lives in the hospital where i worked,at first he looks bone and flesh, because no body cared for him and feed him. when i was starting to work at the hospital, i feel very pitty , he always hungry, i saw him eating left- over food from the trushcan. From then on, i always fed the dog everytime i went to work. he looks good now, he gains weight too. we became good freinds.
